Betty Jo McGuffin was born in Streeter, Mason, Texas on 25 March 1929 and died on 18 Dec 2023. She was the daughter of Marion E McGuffin and Mary Dell Sanders.

On 11 Apr 1946 she married Kenneth Short. They had two children:

   Mary Katherine Short (1946 - living) who married Franklin
   Olenick (1942 - living) and

   Kenneth Wesley "Pete" Short who married
       Gayle Ohara  (1948 - living) in 1966 and
       Maria Ataede (1947 - living) in 1997.

On 29 Dec 1969 she married Birtron Willard Hohmann.
