Jones Cemetery
Jesse William Lawhon was born on 24 Nov 1823
in Alabama and died in the Curry Creek Settlement (now the Kendalia area), Comal
(now Kendall), Texas on 14 May 1855. He was the son of Samuel and Edy Lawhon and
the brother of Captain
John W Lawhon.
On 24 Oct 1850 he married Lovinia Penrod in Cherokee County, Texas. They had three children:
Samuel Lawhon (1851 - 1851);
John William Lawhon who married Sarah Ann Gourley; and
Henry Jesse Lawhon (23 Oct 1854 - 14 Jan 1884).
