Lawhon Cemetery
John William Lawhon was born 2 Oct 1822 in
North Carolina and died in Kendalia, Kendall, Texas on 27 Mar 1883. He was
the son of Samuel Lawhon (1794 - 1850) and Edith "Edee" Swinson Lawhon
(1797 - abt 1850).
He married Jane Cornelia Miller. They had six children:
Emma Elizabeth Lawhon who married William Patton "Bill" Gourley, Jr on 22 Feb 1869;
John Thomas Lawhon;
Jesse William "Bill" Lawhon who married Fredonia Catherine "Donie" Knibbe on 14 Oct 1886;
Elizabeth A "Eliza" Lawhon;
Mary Paloma Lawhon who married George Washington Edge on 24 Dec 1879; and
Lucretia Lawhon who married Emmett T Jones on 9 Dec 1884.
