Martha Beth "Mattie" Stubbs was born in Clopton, Henry, Alabama on 31 Dec 1859 and died in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas on 8 Apr 1912. She was the daughter of George William Stubbs and Sarah Ann Wright Stubbs.

On 4 Nov 1877 she married William T Edge in Blanco, Texas. They had ten children:
