Bette Jane Heuer was born on 3 Sep 1922 in Garden City, Cass, Missouri and died on 5 Feb 1975 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas. She was the daughter of William Heuer (27 Jul 1994 - 14 Sep 1973) and Bessie Shields Heuer.

She married Chester Wilson Harwell on 25 Jan 1941. They had three children:

Jean Ann Harwell;

Susan "Sue" Harwell (1944 - living) who married Willie Ray "Bill" Cooley (1944 - living); and

Frances Carolyn Harwell
