Clyde Homer Edge was born 22 Mar 1896 in Kendalia, Kendall, Texas and died in Temple, Bell, Texas on 1 Dec 1954. He was the son of Frank Edge and Mary Elizabeth Knibbe Edge.

On 6 Jul 1925 he married Minnie Alice Whitworth. They had six children:

Eldon Darwin Edge;

Ted Edge;

Carroll C Edge who married Judy Lynn Whitaker (1943 - living) on 1 Dec 1967;

Lyle Neal Edge;

Aleen Alice Edge (1938 - living) who married James Warren Wagner on 8 Aug 1959; and

Allen Ellis Edge (1938 - living) who married Andra Beth Kinser (1940 - living) on 14 Jun 1958.
