Carl "Charlie" Schuetz was born on 11 Apr
1839 in Germany and died in Boerne, Kendall, Texas on 8 Aug 1923. He was the
son of Ludwig Schuetz (19 Aug 1814 - 3 Dec 1892) and Maria Margaretha Hild
Schuetz (6 Sep 1807 - 4 Nov 1904).
On 23 Jun 1861 he married Katharine
Fries in New Braunfels, Comal, Texas. They had eleven children:
